These problems/symptoms do not exist with previous rawhide kernels.

I realize this bz may describe 3 different bugs and I'll happily do more bzs if you like.

I do not use quiet and rhgb on kernel cmd line.

I don't know what else to provide in way of diagnostic info. Let me know and I'll gladly provide it.

Problem(s) still exist in kernel-3.2.0-0.rc0.git3.0.fc17.x86_64

Comment 2 Josh Boyer 2011-11-01 19:30:00 UTC
You seem to have netconsole configured for eth0. It's being run before the sky2 driver loads and eth0 is created. If you disable netconsole, do things start working normally?

Aside from that, can you tell me the latest kernel that did work?

Comment 3 Clyde E. Kunkel 2011-11-01 21:59:54 UTC
Yeah, netconsole rarely works (sometimes it does) for eth0 or its rename p37p1 due to a timing issue with systemd processes AFAICT.

Latest kernel that works is 3.1.0-0.rc10.git0.1.fc17.x86_64

Comment 4 Clyde E. Kunkel 2011-11-02 14:49:30 UTC
3.2.0-0.rc0.git4.1.fc17.x86_64 seems to be ok wrt networking. More testing later. Screen still blinks q5sec during boot. Also ttys blink when selected after desktop comes up.

Comment 5 Josh Boyer 2011-11-07 21:12:42 UTC
I'm going to close this one out since networking seems to be better now. Can you open a new bug for the graphics issues?

Comment 6 Clyde E. Kunkel 2011-11-07 22:04:50 UTC
751882 for the graphics issue. Closing this one. Thanks.

BTW, what was the issue with networking?
