Comment 2 Gerard Fernandes 2011-12-04 20:34:38 UTC
This works now (after updating F-15 - don't know exactly what combination of updates fixed it).

Comment 3 Onuralp SEZER 2011-12-04 20:37:45 UTC
Just updated and works ? May you add rpm -ql for empathy ? I just wanna check all data with my own maybe I need to rebuild for empathy

Thank you.

Comment 4 Gerard Fernandes 2011-12-06 06:29:14 UTC
Listing the end bits of rpm -ql:
/usr/share/man/man1/empathy-accounts.1.gz
/usr/share/man/man1/empathy.1.gz
/usr/share/telepathy/clients/Empathy.AudioVideo.client
/usr/share/telepathy/clients/Empathy.Auth.client
/usr/share/telepathy/clients/Empathy.Chat.client

and also an "rpm -l"
[* ~]$ rpm -q empathy
empathy-3.0.2-3.fc15.x86_64

If you need any more details let me know. I can't tell exactly what fixed it and I was quite surprised to find that one day (after an update) it just started working.

Comment 5 Gerard Fernandes 2012-01-03 11:06:56 UTC
Still an issue in Fedora-16 (stable updated as of today)

Comment 6 Gerard Fernandes 2012-03-13 21:11:44 UTC
Seems to be working now (after various updates applied over the last week).

Comment 7 Onuralp SEZER 2012-04-16 20:46:07 UTC
Yes It's working. No more problem.

Comment 8 Minuz71 2012-05-28 14:32:51 UTC
I have upgraded to fedora 16 and I have started to use empathy with online accounts (google in my case).
I have noticed that oubound call are working perfectly, inbound call when I click Answer my client and the client who originates the call remain always in connecting state.
I have tried several times, also with firewall disabled, from the gmail chat and from a google talk account configured in pidgin...

Comment 9 Fedora End Of Life 2013-01-16 10:26:28 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 16. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '16'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 16's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 16 is end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on
"Clone This Bug" and open it against that version of Fedora.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping

Comment 10 Fedora End Of Life 2013-02-13 09:10:19 UTC
Fedora 16 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2013-02-12. Fedora 16 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
