Ben I think this is well known DP problem, nouveau didn't ever work with DP correctly, right?

Comment 3 Trond H. Amundsen 2011-12-08 19:27:40 UTC
I have this problem as well. Same card, DP, system running rhel6.2:

  xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-0.0.16-13.20110719gitde9d1ba.el6.x86_64
  kernel-2.6.32-220.el6.x86_64

The problem is really in the kernel driver. Previous kernels from 6.1 and 6.0 works fine, so this is a regression.

The component for this bug should be changed to kernel.

Comment 8 Tomas Pelka 2012-05-22 08:33:00 UTC
OK, without adapter it is working just fine. That is weird since I hadn't problems with other graphics (nVidia and ATI).

Comment 10 Suzanne Logcher 2012-05-29 19:36:05 UTC
This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in the
current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Because the affected component is
not scheduled to be updated in the current release, Red Hat is unfortunately
unable to address this request at this time. It has been proposed for the next
release.

I have noticed similar problem with Quadro FX 3700 adapter with RHEL 6.2 with 24" FP display. It looks like system boots up but no display (blank FP display). But when I connected a smaller FP display, system boots up the and display image is 1680x1050 @60Hz, which is perfect. Here I allowed default (enabled) Nouveau video driver/module.

But it failed to give any display with preset resolution, 1920x1680 @60Hz. Could this be a bug with Nouveau package?
