Description of problem:
If I specify the username for a davs mount in the URL it fails to mount:

$ gvfs-mount  'davs://ucapjun.ac.uk/home/ucap/ucapjun'
Error mounting location: Not a WebDAV-enabled share

But if I don't specify the username in the URL (i.e. gvfs-mount  'davs://ifsp-webdav1.ucl.ac.uk/home/ucap/ucapjun') then I am asked for the username and password and then the mount proceeds successfully.

The same thing is seen if I use the Places->Connect to Server dialogue.

I suppose it was caused by wrong server configuration. It works correctly with recent gvfs version for me currently:

$ rpm -q gvfs
gvfs-1.4.3-22.el6.i686
$ gvfs-mount  'davs://ucapjun.ac.uk/home/ucap/ucapjun'
Enter password for uclusers.ucl.ac.uk
Password:
