Description raylu 2011-11-04 06:35:34 UTC
Description of problem:
The default config has changed in 8681be02d7d1d99d0f1160a241257496b9677fae
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/gitweb/?p=lighttpd.git;a=commitdiff;h=8681be02d7d1d99d0f1160a241257496b9677fae;hp=55713591b43e780d0f50d40e1661f2b23e55c81f
and this causes lighttpd to fail to start. In fact, this causes `lighttpd -tf /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf` to fail with "(server.c.889) can't have more connections than fds/2: 1024 1024".

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
lighttpd/1.4.28 (ssl)
Build-Date: Jul 11 2011 18:58:53

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install lighttpd in F15

Actual results:
lighttpd fails to start

Expected results:
lighttpd starts with the default config

Lowering the max-connections to 512 fixes the problem.

This seems to have been fixed at some point (SELinux policy update)? I've just tested on F17, and with the default of server.max-connections = 1024, lighttpd starts just fine.
