Description Marc Muehlfeld 2011-11-04 09:11:46 UTC
Description of problem:
If you add entries to the K-Menu using the KDE-Menu-Editor, they're getting lost.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
4.7.2-3

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open KDE-Menu-Editor by right-click to the KDE-(F)-Logo.
2. Create a new subfolder.
3. Create a new element pointing to a program.
4. Edit an existing entry (like changing the icon).
4. Click to "save".
5. Close the KDE-Menu-Editor

Actual results:
The new subfolder and the entry are not shown in the K-Menu. Also the changed entry is missing now.

Expected results:
Entries added by the user should appear in the Menu.

Additional info:
If you re-open the KDE-Menu-Editor, the subfolder is still there, but it's empty now. But for the new and changed entry, there was a *.desktop file created in ~/.local/share/applications.

I use the classic menu style. But the entries are also not shown in the kickoff style menu.
