Description david.donn 2011-11-07 03:54:04 UTC
Description of problem:

Unix group names of one or two letters are considered invalid. This was not the case under RHEL 5.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

nslcd RHEL 6.1

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add group "ok" to LDAP.
2. Run nslcd in debug mode "nslcd -d"
3. getent group

Actual results:

Group is not listed.

nslcd debug says:

nslcd: [8b4567] group entry CN=ok,OU=Groups,DC=my,DC=company contains invalid group name: "ok"

Expected results:

Group name should be listed.
