Description Nathan G. Grennan 2011-11-10 01:08:11 UTC
Description of problem:
I can't resume screen in screen locally as the same user.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
4.1.0-0.4.20110328git8cf5ef.fc16

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Terminal
2. screen
3. Ctrl-A D
4. screen
5. screen -r

Actual results:
Error message: "Aborted"

Expected results:
Works

Additional info:
I think it might be wise to revert the package to a stable release. If there are bugs only fixed in 4.1.0, I recommend looking at backported patches from 4.1.0 that Debian is using.

Comment 1 Nathan G. Grennan 2012-03-25 04:40:19 UTC
I am still experiencing this problem. Is anything going to be done about this?

Comment 2 Nathan G. Grennan 2012-03-25 17:45:04 UTC
Here are some improved steps to reproduce. This doesn't work with screen-4.1.0-0.6.20110328git8cf5ef.fc16.x86_64, but does work with screen-4.0.3-15.fc12.x86_64.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Terminal
2. screen -e^Bb
3. screen -m -e^Aa
4. ctrl-a d
5. screen -r

Actual results:
Error message: "Aborted"

Expected results:
Works

It seems that this is broken since:
http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/screen.git/commit/?id=9672f21e6508384e24a90a510c16d281b26f37bf
