Description Matt Domsch 2011-11-10 20:05:08 UTC
Description of problem:
Installing F16 uses MirrorManager to choose a mirror. All well and good. I would like anaconda to display, maybe during package download, the URL to the package it is downloading. Might also be useful to have a "change to another mirror" button that would force stopping using the current mirror and move to the next.

Reasoning: I'm installing F16 using PXE from home, packages from some random mirror. It's going quite slowly. netstat has been removed from the Alt-F2 shell, so I can't easily see what server it's downloading from. And there is no way to get it to move on to using a different server.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
F16 gold

I don't think there's any good way to get yum to do this while installing. We are using fastest-mirror now, so hopefully things will just work. If not, pass the url of a known fast source.

bcl - using fastestmirror? Ugh! Why?
