Seems you're using the nvidia module. What happens if you don't use that? Also, what exactly was the problem without the acpi=no switch and do you see it on the 3.2.7 or newer kernels? Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kernel version 3.1.0-7.fc16.x86_64 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install the current kernel 2. watch system performance drop 3. Actual results: A system that is unusable Expected results: Additional info: this was found on a ASUS laptop model N51V
