Description wagner17 2011-11-11 03:20:06 UTC
Description of problem:
Playing movie with ASS subtitles causes totem and mplayer to crash.

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download test file from Megaupload link listed on https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=603938
2. Play above file in totem or with "mplayer -ass"

Actual results:
totem and mplayer crash

Expected results:
Movie plays and displays colored fonts in different places.

Additional info:
See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=751517 for another bug report that is currently assigned to totem.

Fix is to upgrade to libass 0.9.13. See https://bugs.gentoo.org/377255?id=377255 and http://code.google.com/p/libass/source/browse/Changelog?name=0.9.13.

I downloaded libass 0.9.13 and recompiled the Fedora RPM with 0.9.13 and it resolved the issue.
