Description amturnip 2011-11-12 15:02:56 UTC
Description of problem:

Important buttons are disabled on the page that says, "Below are the storage devices..." and wants you to shuttle devices between a large "Data Storage Devices" box and an "Install Target Devices" box. When I select a device, neither of the left or right shuttle buttons can be pressed. All the devices appear to be stuck in the "Install Target Devices" box.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

16

How reproducible:

Always. I exited the installer and "yum update"d the live USB in hopes the installer might have been updated, but it wasn't, and when I reran the installer I encountered the same behavior.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Choose custom layout.
2.Attempt to move a device from the Install Target box to the Data Storage box.
3.

Actual results:

Shuttle-left and shuttle-right buttons are disabled.

Expected results:

When a device is selected in the right-hand box, the shuttle-left button should be operable. Etc.

Additional info:

Double-clicking a device shuttles it to the other box.

Can you please attach /tmp/anaconda.log, /tmp/program.log, and /tmp/storage.log? Thanks.

This is working as designed. You have chosen to create a custom layout, so there is no need to categorize the devices in this way. The purpose of the screen in this case is so you can choose a boot disk.
