File: backtrace
I also have this problem with FC16-x86_64. After logging in, I can launch gnome-terminal and things work normally. Sometime later gnome-terminal will crash every time I launch it. By that time I will have used Firefox, Thunderbird, Eclipse, and other applications. Workaround: killall gconf-2 Then gnome-terminal launches normally again. Versions: gnome-terminal.x86_64 3.2.1-2.fc16G Conf2.x86_64 3.2.3-1.fc16 nautilus-open-terminal.x86_64 0.19-2.fc16 dbus.x86_64 1:1.4.10-3.fc16 This happened on two different laptops. Fedora 16 was loaded onto the second laptop and updated to the latest as of Jan 6, 2012. I did not observe this until the laptop was rebooted after the updates were installed. The crash tool (abrt) would not report because it declared the backtrace unusable. I did not see any related information in the system logs.
