As it says, there are pre-existing dep. problems ... after you fix those everything will work.

You can manually run "yum check" if you need yum to check again.

I disagree that this is not a bug. Not a bug in yum, I would agree with. I ran into the same problem after upgrading and I fixed it by manually removing libmtp-hal.

Reassigning this to anaconda seems the more appropriate thing to do.

Wrt the libmtp-hal thing, see also
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2011-15703/libmtp-1.1.1-2.fc16
and bug #752055

The missing dependencies (which by the way are all from no longer needed stuff: libnih is only needed for those still using Upstart and the rest has been dropped from Fedora entirely) are not what fails your transaction, these file conflicts are:

  file /usr/lib/debug/usr/lib64/libmemusage.so.debug from install of
glibc-debuginfo-2.14.90-14.x86_64 conflicts with file from package
glibc-debuginfo-common-2.14-5.x86_64
  file /usr/lib/debug/usr/lib64/libpcprofile.so.debug from install of
glibc-debuginfo-2.14.90-14.x86_64 conflicts with file from package
glibc-debuginfo-common-2.14-5.x86_64

Remove the old glibc-debuginfo from Fedora 15 and then rerun the update process.

If you want the error messages to go away, just remove the obsolete packages with broken dependencies.
