Description garrickyang 2011-11-14 08:26:08 UTC
Description of problem:

There is no internal driver for E320's lan card (Atheros 1083) in RHEL6.1 kernel.
And we can't find the third part driver.

What's the lscpi?
lspci -nnvv | grep Ethernet

I suppose something like
05:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communication AR8151 v2.0 Gigabit Ethernet 1083 [1969:1083] (rev c0)

Support for this card has been added to upstream kernel v2.6.36 - driver atl1c

You could try ELRepo's Atheros atl1e driver that supports 1969:1083.

When will this driver be added to RHEL 6 kernel?
Thanks

Comment 4 garrickyang 2011-12-15 00:57:03 UTC
We need it to do hardware certification.
