Description Michael Gregg 2011-11-15 00:08:23 UTC
Description of problem:
This is a problem that popped up from running DS -> IPA migration tests.
There are a few groups in DS that contain spaces in their names.
These groups migrate over properly, but I am unable to delete the group from IPA.
I realize that a space in the group name isn't supported by IPA.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
ipa-server-2.1.3-9.el6.x86_64
389-ds-base-1.2.9.14-1.el6.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. migrate a group containing a space in it's name from DS
2. kinit as admin
3. ipa group-del <group>

Actual results:
# ipa group-find hr\ managers
---------------
1 group matched
---------------
  Group name: HR Managers
Description: People who can manage HR entries
----------------------------
Number of entries returned 1
----------------------------

[root@ipaqa64vmg ds-migration]# ipa group-del hr\ managers
ipa: ERROR: invalid 'group_name': may only include letters, numbers, _, -, . and $

Expected results:
Although I should not be able to create this group using IPA tools, I think that I should be able to delete the group with IPA tools.
