Hi Tomasz, I'm not quite fond of this idea of mixing 'IP assignment' and 'prefix delegation mechanism'. They both serve to other purposes and I'm not sure they can be *safely* used together. For example RFC 3633 (IPv6 Prefix Options) says that when the delegating router (DHCPv6 server in our case) has no available prefixes it MUST send NoPrefixAvail status code in Advertise message. That means that when you try (dhclient -N -P) to obtain IP address AND prefix from server that's not configured to delegate prefixes you will probably fail in getting IP address at all because of the NoPrefixAvail status. -- Jiri See also bug #830040. Description of problem: dhclient as run by NM only does normal query for IPv6. It should also ask for Prefix Delegation. Information obtained from PD can be utilised by dispatcher scripts, do not need to be handled in NM.
