Description Kamil Páral 2011-11-15 14:42:40 UTC
Description of problem:
I hit 'New VM' button to create a new virtual machine. I fill some values in the wizard but I don't finish it, maybe I need to check for something first (e.g. the desired MAC address). In the mean time I need to create a different VM. I hit 'New VM' again and my whole dialog is reset into the original state (first step in the wizard). Old values are deleted. I am angry.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
virt-manager-0.9.0-7.fc16.noarch

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. hit New VM
2. provide some values, don't finish the wizard
3. hit New VM

Actual results:
current dialog is reset

Expected results:
1. New dialog appears.
-or-
2. If I already provided some values into the wizard, I am warned that the same dialog will be re-used and the current values will be deleted.
-or-
3. I can't hit 'New VM' until the first VM creation is finished.

Comment 1 Cole Robinson 2012-02-06 20:34:31 UTC
The simple fix is to just check if the dialog is visible, if so just re-present it to the user without touching anything in the dialog.
