Description of problem:

enabled smartd (systemctl enable smartd.service)

modified /etc/smartd.conf to explicitly test the drives and e-mail myself when
errors occur.  Also used -M test to get a test e-mail at bootup.

New line:
/dev/sda -H -s L/../../7/03 -m myemail@add -M test

(where myemail@add is my actual e-mail address.  Note that the machine will successfully send e-mails via the 'mail' command)


No test e-mail appears when the machine is booted up.  This worked in Fedora 14 and earlier.
