Description Sébastien PRUD'HOMME 2011-11-16 18:54:54 UTC
Description of problem:

Installing the ecryptfs-utils creates a new group "ecryptfs" without a static gid.

My point of view is that every RPM provided by Red Hat should use static uids and gids when adding users or groups.

Last Fedora version have the same "problem".

Comment 1 Michal Hlavinka 2011-12-16 11:33:38 UTC
ecryptfs group is used just for access control, it does not own any file. Static gid is not required here.
