Description Jens Petersen 2011-11-21 02:40:57 UTC
Description of problem:
It is a weakness of Cabal currently that binlib package
executables are linked statically against their own libraries.
So there is no need for leksah to explicitly require ghc-leksah-server.
Indeed even it if were dynamically linked to the library
then rpm would generate the requires dependency automatically.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
leksah-server-0.10.0.4-3.fc15

Steps to Reproduce:
1. rpm -q --requires leksah-server | grep leksah-server

Actual results:
1. ghc-leksah-server

Expected results:
1. No dependency on ghc-leksah-server

Additional info:
I don't think it is urgent to push updates for this
but would be good to fix this now first in rawhide.

Comment 1 Narasimhan 2011-12-18 06:32:15 UTC
Fixed in Rawhide. Should be available for F17.

Comment 2 Jens Petersen 2012-01-20 03:44:24 UTC
Perhaps the fix can be backported now for f16
at the same time as dropping ghc-leksah-server requiring ghc?

$ sudo repoquery -q  --whatrequires ghc| grep -v devel
:
ghc-leksah-server-0:0.10.0.4-6.fc16.i686
ghc-leksah-server-0:0.10.0.4-6.fc16.x86_64

Comment 3 Narasimhan 2012-01-20 14:18:58 UTC
