Description Kyrre Ness Sjøbæk 2011-11-24 09:19:35 UTC
Description of problem:
When running a program called "acdtool" (of which I regrettably do not have the sourcecode), I get error messages about not finding libraries like "libmpi_f77.so.0" (etc.).

I tried to solve this by creating symlinks with these names pointing to the newer so.1 versions, but this did not work for all code paths in acdtool. Finally I installed the Fedora 14 package (where I had the program running previously).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
1.5.4.fc16.x86_64

Additional info:
acdtool can be found at

Comment 1 Jay Fenlason 2011-11-28 22:35:59 UTC
Get the upstream maintainer of acdtool to build against a supported version of openmpi. We don't have the resources or motivation to add software purely to support proprietary software packages.
