Could this be related to bug #758159? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 868857 *** |
Created attachment 535906 [details] Messages on shutdown A F16 live desktop image to usb does not unmount the devices cleanly when shutting down. A screenful of error/progress messages will thus fly by just before the machine is turned off. A photo is attached, but the messages start with: Not all DM devices detached, 1 left. Detaching loop devices. The most obvious consequence is that the live image is noisy and not very elegant when shutting down. It might however have bigger consequences in other scenarios with complex setups where various loops and hoops has to be umounted cleanly. I would expect /lib/systemd/systemd-shutdown to automatically and silently be able to figure out the right order for unmounting, removing loopbacks and detaching DMs. The setup used by a live usb is apparently too complex or strange in some way. livecd-iso-to-disk --format --msdos --reset-mbr Fedora-16-i686-Live-Desktop.iso /dev/sdc1 systemd-36-3.fc16
