Description of problem:
Computation of SCSI request lengths is buggy for values exceeding 31 bits (unwanted sign extension).  Such lengths are not expected to occur in practice, especially not with usb-storage, which is our only SCSI device.  Let's fix it anyway.

Theoretical bug, not actually reproduced
