um, "use 64bit system" - I mean multilib ... so far, I've experienced the problem on all x86_64 machines and on s390x (wonder why ppc64 was okay and not in the mood to try explicitly if it breaks too ...) This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8 and Red Hat does not plan to fix this issue the currently developed update. Contact your manager or support representative in case you need to escalate this bug. Created attachment 551620 [details]
patch for spec file
This patch adds unixODBC library path explicitly to the configure command and seems to fix the issue.
This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in the current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Because the affected component is not scheduled to be updated in the current release, Red Hat is unfortunately unable to address this request at this time. Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. This is fixed in Fedora using Honza's patch, so it should be in RHEL7 and later, but I don't see that we'll bother in RHEL5. |
