Red Hat Security Response Team has decided not to treat this deficiency as to be a security flaw. Even if password would be filtered in swaks CLI / redirected file handle output, it's possible (for some methods) to retrieve it directly via SMTP AUTH output. So upcoming upstream change is more feature add-on, than a real fix for a security flaw. |
