Description Scott McCarty 2011-11-28 20:23:39 UTC
Description of problem:
When rsync control is enabled in cobbler, cobbler does not create the distro entries in the /etc/rsyncd.conf file

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable rsync management in cobbler

  vi /etc/cobbler/settings

  manage_rsync: 1

2. Run

   cobbler sync

Output from command will contain

  rendering Rsync files

3. Inspect /etc/rsyncd.conf

  cat /etc/rsyncd.conf

It does not contain distro specific entries like the template implies (/etc/cobbler/rsync.template)

Actual results:

   Distros not created in /etc/rsyncd.conf

Expected results:

Distros should be created in /etc/rsyncd.conf like template, appears to be a break in the cobbler code

Additional info:

Not sure how to troubleshoot further than this because I am not that familiar with cobbler. It appears to be a cobbler problem, but not sure where to dig into it.

Comment 1 Tomas Lestach 2011-11-29 09:29:56 UTC
I am afraid this cobbler capability isn't supported in RHN Satellite.

Closing as WONTFIX.
