Attachment 537445 [details] from the cloned bug is a zip file with a reproducer.

"sh updmap_edit tmp2.small" hangs after printing a malloc error.  The corruption is caused by clean_state_log_if_needed.

* was pushed to the Fedora 16 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.

glibc-2.14.90-21 has been pushed to the Fedora 16 stable repository.  If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.

glibc-rh757881.patch was added long time ago.

It's touching a critical piece of code, glibc-malloc.
And it should be rechecked, and sent to upstream. Or dropped from fedora.
