That's the "Flash crashes QtWebKit" bug. Anything we can do about this or should we close it CANTFIX (Flash bug)? This backtrace is a bit different than bug #761342 , It's not in our code though, Thread 1 (Thread 0x7fa58f07b840 (LWP 6949)): #0 g_logv (log_domain=0x3874681b57 "Gdk", log_level=<optimized out>, format=0x38746a075e "%s", args1=0x7fff396a03e8) at gmessages.c:577 depth = 0 domain = 0x0 data = 0x0 log_func = 0x344784c770 <g_log_default_handler> domain_fatal_mask = <optimized out> masquerade_fatal = <optimized out> test_level = <optimized out> was_fatal = 0 was_recursion = 0 i = <optimized out> #1 0x000000344784d652 in g_log (log_domain=<optimized out>, log_level=<optimized out>, format=<optimized out>) at gmessages.c:591 args = {{gp_offset = 24, fp_offset = 48, overflow_arg_area = 0x7fff396a04c0, reg_save_area = 0x7fff396a0400}} #2 0x000000387466ab2b in gdk_x_error (error=<optimized out>, display=<optimized out>) at gdkmain-x11.c:486 buf = "BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)", '\000' <repeats 27 times> msg = <optimized out> #3 gdk_x_error (display=<optimized out>, error=<optimized out>) at gdkmain-x11.c:456 No locals. #4 0x000000344704810f in _XError (dpy=0x2354a70, rep=<optimized out>) at XlibInt.c:1583 rtn_val = <optimized out> event = ... async = <optimized out> next = <optimized out> #5 0x0000003447044f91 in handle_error (dpy=0x2354a70, err=0x301ca30, in_XReply=<optimized out>) at xcb_io.c:166 ext = <optimized out> ret_code = 0 #6 0x0000003447045ee7 in _XReply (dpy=0x2354a70, rep=0x7fff396a0700, extra=0, discard=0) at xcb_io.c:634 ret_code = <optimized out> error = 0x301ca30 c = 0x2333b50 reply = 0x0 current = 0x531a6b0 __PRETTY_FUNCTION__ = "_XReply" #7 0x000000344702a65b in XGetWindowProperty (dpy=0x2354a70, w=144704660, property=321, offset=0, length=1, delete=<optimized out>, req_type=321, actual_type=0x7fff396a0808, actual_format=0x7fff396a0848, nitems=0x7fff396a0810, bytesafter=0x7fff396a0818, prop=0x7fff396a0820) at GetProp.c:61 reply = {type = 0 '\000', format = 3 '\003', sequenceNumber = 36911, length = 144704660, propertyType = 1310720, bytesAfter = 0, nItems = 0, pad1 = 0, pad2 = 0, pad3 = 0} req = <optimized out> error = {type = 0 '\000', errorCode = 0 '\000', sequenceNumber = 36911, resourceID = 0, minorCode = 0, majorCode = 0 '\000', pad1 = 0 '\000', pad3 = 0, pad4 = 0, pad5 = 0, pad6 = 0, pad7 = 0} #8 0x000000386cf9217b in NETWinInfo::update (this=0x7fff396a0970, dirty_props=<optimized out>) at /usr/src/debug/kdelibs-4.7.4/kdeui/windowmanagement/netwm.cpp:3962 type_ret = <optimized out> nitems_ret = <optimized out> unused = 52598016 data_ret = <optimized out> dirty2 = <synthetic pointer> format_ret = <optimized out> props = {134217728, 0} dirty = <synthetic pointer> (In reply to comment #9) > That's the "Flash crashes QtWebKit" bug. Anything we can do about this or > should we close it CANTFIX (Flash bug)? I thought there is some sandboxing or what, not to allow misbehaving plugins to kill the browser - at least with KHTML I see Flash crashes every here and there and Konqueror survives them, so _something_ about this can be done for sure ... I'd understand going upstream (btw, why this ended up in abrt and not DrKonqi?) or WONTFIX, but I won't accept CANTFIX as an answer ;-) oh, and while at it, I guess Konqueror can be also improved in the way it handles Flash - I do not see any crashes when using Seamonkey on the same machine with the very same Flash binary ... khtml uses a nsplugin sandbox, yes. qtwebkit (currently) does not include such a feature.
