you didn't say what driver you just loaded.... Loaded the "tmscsim" driver off the driver disk - this is also the same driver the machine normally uses. I also tried a network install, via FTP, and the kernel panics at the same place. Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem persists. The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases, and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the problem in the bug tracker at: http://bugzilla.fedora.us/ |

In interrupt handler - not syncing Expected Results: No panic. Additional info: HP Vectra SMP machine, currently running 7.1. Runs stock 7.1 kernel fine. Currently using custom built 2.4.19 kernel. memtest86 does not find any problems. Not overclocked. 32M memory. Marked severity as HIGH since this problem prevents install on this machine (no CD- ROM).
