Description of problem:
Firefox can't handle SMB URLs such as "smb://nas/share"

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora release 16 (Verne)
firefox.x86_64 8.0-3.fc16

How reproducible:
Always reproducible.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Firefox.
2. Go to address: smb://nas/share
  
Actual results:
Error. The protocol is not associated with any program.

Expected results:
"Open with application: Nautilus" dialogue.

AcrFi: I think this bug should stay as CLOSED. You're right that the functionality is not implemented in Firefox currently. However this is the Fedora bugtracker and we should not use this bug tracker for generic upstream issues.

Please subscribe to the Mozilla bug 682838 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=682838) if you're interested in the latest progress. Firefox as shipped in Fedora will contain the smb feature when Mozilla releases a Firefox version which implements it.
