How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot the machine
2. Kernel complains SMP motherboard not detected.

Actual Results: System comes up but only with one CPU.

Expected Results: Kernel should have detected both CPU's. Both CPU's are
identical (Intel PIII 500 MHz). On Red Hat Linux 7.3 system detected and used
both CPU's. After upgrade to Red Hat Linux 8.0 system will only recognize CPU0.

Comment 1 HP 2002-10-15 20:08:55 UTC
Found info from LUG, apparently after upgrading to 8.0, you should re-configure
BIOS. I went to the BIOS left all the settings as they were, hit [Apply &
Exit]. Next time I boot into RH Linux 8.0 detected both CPU's.

Thanks
