Description of problem:

If you update from a former Samba version to 3.6 the complete winbind cache including cached credentials is deleted cause of a database change.

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
* Install Samba 3.5
* Delete the winbindd_cache.tdb
* Start winbind
* Do some request like wbinfo -u/-g
* Shut down winbind
* Install Samba 3.6
* Start it

You will see from the logs that the cache validation fail and the tdb gets renamed to winbindd_cache.tdb.corrupt.


The attached path fixes the problem.

* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 16 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing samba-3.6.1-77.fc16'
as soon as you are able to.
