Can you change gluster build scripts for debian/ubuntu to include
glusterfs-volgen script in the deb pkg for the 3.0 tree?
You had done it for the 2.0 branch.

A bug was filed in debian bug tracker, http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=564649
Gluster 3.0.0 is packaged by the debian team and its uploaded in the experimental branch. Can be downloaded from the following location.

Not a defect in glusterfs, respective defect has been listed in debian bugzilla.
