PATCH: http://patches.gluster.com/patch/3284 in master (Log proper error message when hostname or ip does not conform to standards.) PATCH: http://patches.gluster.com/patch/3283 in release-3.0 (Log proper error message when hostname or ip does not conform to standards.) |
The following causes a "translator validation error": volume depot_remote_b type protocol/client option transport-type tcp option remote-host depot_backup option transport.socket.nodelay on option transport.remote-port 6996 option remote-subvolume depot_brick end-volume After much trial and error, I found that using a hostname without an underscore (depotbackup) works fine. It would also be nice to have better error messages for such things!
