Description Jacob Shucart 2011-04-22 14:52:11 UTC
Is there any way around this? Couldn't the receiving side run some sort of setuid so that a regular user gets superuser privileges just for the purpose of putting files in place? I know the whole process right now is based on rsync, but there will be people who are uncomfortable with root users involved.

Yep Jacob,

we are aware of this issue as much as to have already a bugzilla entry for related changes and also an action plan. It just didn't fit into 3.2 time frame.

Ps. please take care for setting the component field to geo-replication when having issues with geo-replication.
