That sounds very strange. If you toggle wm_use_compiz back off does it keep working from that point forward? Ray, If I use gconf-editor to toggle wm_use_compiz on then I see the text. If I then toggle wm_use_compiz back off I *still* see the text after an init3/init5, but if I reboot then I loose the text again. When I toggled wm_use_compiz off I removed it as a mandatory setting as well. This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in the current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Because the affected component is not scheduled to be updated in the current release, Red Hat is unfortunately unable to address this request at this time.
