As a work-around, enter menu "File > Preferences > Plugins > Transport" and uncheck the "SMB Transport" plugin. The plugin is experimental and has been disabled in Audacious 3.1.x.

Done. Thanks for the tip.

But will this remove the support for loading musics on SMB shares?

Yes.   The SMB Transport plugin has not been available before Audacious 3.0, and no problems with it have been discovered/reported during Fedora 16 development. Dunno yet whether it can be fixed (without rewriting it), but it could be that it doesn't do multi-threading.

Several issues with the SMB Transport plugin, which I assume are the reason why it has been disabled. Its VFS fseek implementation is broken (it implements lseek, but that would be fixable). And the libsmb backend is not thread-safe [yet].

In case there will be an update of Audacious Plugins 3.0.x in Fedora 16, the SMB Transport plugin will be removed.

Package audacious-plugins-3.0.4-2.fc16:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 16 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing audacious-plugins-3.0.4-2.fc16'
as soon as you are able to.

audacious-plugins-3.0.4-2.fc16 has been pushed to the Fedora 16 stable repository.  If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
