now user can select the repo directly without selecting the product first none

Description Sachin Ghai 2011-12-13 07:50:50 UTC
Description of problem:
I created a filter and tried to add directly a repository and I selected the repository from drop down.

1. First I *think* user should not be allowed to select the repository directly without selecting the product first.

2. +ADD button was active. Nothing happens on UI when I clicked on it

3. save filter was active. UI went to busy state when I clicked on "save filter"
and nothing happened on UI. No error/notification on UI.

I can save the filter successfully when I select a product then the repository within that.

katello-httpd-ssl-key-pair-1.0-1.noarch
katello-certs-tools-1.0.1-2.el6.

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a filter ( select provider ==> package filter ==> new filter)
2. add the packages which you want to blacklist
3. Select the repository first, not the product.
4. click +Add and save filter

Actual results:
- Active +ADD button but nothing happens on UI when I clicked on it

- Active "save filter". UI went to busy state when I clicked on "save filter"
and nothing happened on UI. No error/notification on UI.

Expected results:
I think either 'save filter' should be disabled or a warning message should be raised for user to select the product first and then the repo within that.

Selecting a Repository from the top level selector and clicking +Add link should now add the product the repository belongs to and the repository from the UI.

Comment 4 Sachin Ghai 2012-02-16 07:58:20 UTC
Verified with following katello build:

katello-0.1.237-1.el6.noarch
katello-cli-0.1.54-1.el6.noarch
katello-glue-pulp-0.1.237-1.el6.noarch
pulp-0.0.264-1.el6.noarch

Selecting a repo directly from the UI and clicking on +Add link should now add the repos along with the product to which it belongs to.

now user can select the repo directly without selecting the product first

Comment 6 Mike McCune 2013-08-16 17:57:24 UTC
getting rid of 6.0.0 version since that doesn't exist
