Description Reartes Guillermo 2011-12-14 12:50:38 UTC
Description of problem:

There is a small bug in the viewer, which does not affect the ability to use the
scanner (Canon LIDE200 usb, works flawlessy).

After scanning, in the viewer, when choosing file-> save image
the field "name" says out.pnm" and the type is set to "JPEG" so i expect it
to be jpeg.

$ file out.pnm
out.pnm: JPEG image data, JFIF standard 1.01

So it is a jpeg, but the default extension should be .jpeg/.jpg

If i reselect jpeg in the "type" combo box, it changes to .jpeg and saves a JPEG image.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

xsane.x86_64 0.998-4.fc15
xsane-common.x86_64 0.998-4.fc15

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. scan
2. save image

Actual results:
the default extension is wrong. not a big problem, one must delete the name and type the full file name to be saved.

Expected results:
start with an out.jpeg for jpeg.

This issue is not present in F17.
I no longer have F15, which is probably EOL by now.
