Description of problem:  Agent shutdown hangs if IP address changes

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1.  ./rhq-agent.sh      
2.  #IP address changes ... for me this happens when I lose and re-establish VPN
3.  at the agent prompt, type 'exit'
  
Actual results:
agent shutdown does not complete

Expected results:
agent shuts down
