Bug still present in 3.1.5-6 PAE kernel. Does booting with pci=nocrs fix the problem? (In reply to comment #2) > Does booting with pci=nocrs fix the problem? Unfortunately no... What are your boot options? (In reply to comment #4) > What are your boot options? From dmesg: [ 0.000000] Kernel command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-3.1.5-6.fc16.i686.PAE root=UUID=101b1556-d097-4d85-9bc5-fac2f 9abe5d8 ro rd.md=0 rd.lvm=0 rd.dm=0 KEYTABLE=us quiet SYSFONT=latarcyrheb-sun16 rhgb rd.luks=0 LANG=en_US.UTF-8 There is an upstream commit that was added to 3.1.5 that seems to have caused a regression here. I'll try to provide a scratch kernel with that commit reverted later today for testing. For what it's worth... Hibernate locks the machine also, the system does not attempt to write to disk and a hard restart is necessary. (I had to boot into the fallback Gnome 2 mode in order to see the hibernate option on shutdown ). Please try kernel-3.1.7-1.fc16 which will be in the next f16-updates-testing push. Bless you my son... I pulled the kernel 3.1.7-1 PAE from koji and it seems to have cured the problem! I can resume from suspension and as a bonus, hibernate also works :) Thanks for finding/fixing the problem... Jerry |
