I don't know, I was using geeqie, and selected a different sort method when it crashed, but can't reproduce

sorry, I'd really need a reproducible test-case for this. We've since updated rawhide to the 1.12RCs as well, so there's a hole chunk of new code though this particular bug may still be present. I'm closing this as WORKSFORME for now, please reopen if you can find a test-case.
