Thanks for the report. This is fixed in the following rawhide-build: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=321998 The fix will enter the stable repos with the next minor version update. Any application installing icons to hicolor MUST Require hicolor-icon-theme. The purpose of hicolor-icon-theme is to be required by any package which installs any icons. It contains no actual icons, but just an empty theme for applications to install their icons into. Packages not doing that must be fixed. |
Description of problem: If an application installs icons into one of the subdirectories in %{_datadir}/icons/ (such as hicolor), icon caches must be updated so that the installed icons show up in menus right after package installation: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:ScriptletSnippets#Icon_Cache Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): All How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install merkaartor Actual results: Icon is not shown after install Expected results: Icon must be shown after install Additional info: Scriptlet to update the icon cache can be found here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:ScriptletSnippets#Icon_Cache
