Description of problem:
ovirt-engine copies vdsm-bootstrap.py to a given host, however
when vdsm-bootstrap is executed, it fails claiming the Fedora is not supported.

How reproducible:
Install a Fedora 16 host from ovirt-engine's GUI

Steps to Reproduce:

Thank you for posting the logs, it made the debugging faster indeed.
The strings "Unsupported platform:", "get_id_line" and "lsb_release" are not part of VDSM, they're part of ovirt-engine (backend/manager/conf/vds_installer.py).
