Description Leon Flaks 2011-12-20 19:55:36 UTC
Description of problem:
Option 'exec' has no effect if used with 'user' option

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 16, version 1.2.5-3

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Mount nfs volume with both exec and user options
2.Check the mount status
3.

Actual results:
Mount command shows noexec, no permission to execute files from nfs mounted volume

Expected results:

Should be able to overwrite default noexec setting by explicitly setting exec option.
Additional info:
This works fine on previous versions of nfs-utils (that came with fedora 15 and earlier) Observed on Fedora 16 both using nfs version 3 and 4.

Comment 1 Leon Flaks 2012-01-23 16:09:57 UTC
Just noticed that updated version nfs-utils-1.2.5-4 has the same issue.

Comment 2 Steve Dickson 2012-03-15 16:02:25 UTC
Well we did enable the new libmount code in Fedora 16, I wonder if that has anything to do with it...

Karl, does sound familiar?

Comment 3 Karel Zak 2012-03-15 17:13:13 UTC
It should be fixed by util-linux upstream commit a4c0cc75ff9744299f108c259efab1bd30c8007a, backported to Fedora util-linux 2.20.1-2.2.
