I get this once on login and also when trying to add an on-line account. When trying to add a Google account, I get an error "Error getting a Request Token: Cannot resolve proxy hostname" and a GPF is logged: [ 1035.488253] glib-pacrunner[2726] general protection ip:7f3b8d32d62c sp:7f3b8d249520 error:0 in libmozjs.so[7f3b8d276000+376000] [ 1094.123971] glib-pacrunner[2771] general protection ip:7fdb925d962c sp:7fdb924f5520 error:0 in libmozjs.so[7fdb92522000+376000] [ 1097.779670] glib-pacrunner[2800] general protection ip:7f4d5a28762c sp:7f4d5a1a3520 error:0 in libmozjs.so[7f4d5a1d0000+376000] [ 1106.782831] glib-pacrunner[2807] general protection ip:7ff35f36362c sp:7ff35f27f520 error:0 in libmozjs.so[7ff35f2ac000+376000] [ 1133.784706] glib-pacrunner[2846] general protection ip:7ff4637c962c sp:7ff4636e5520 error:0 in libmozjs.so[7ff463712000+376000] [ 1215.782062] glib-pacrunner[2889] general protection ip:7f400a88d62c sp:7f400a7a9520 error:0 in libmozjs.so[7f400a7d6000+376000] [ 1342.405331] glib-pacrunner[2960] general protection ip:7f92c55ad62c sp:7f92c54c9520 error:0 in libmozjs.so[7f92c54f6000+376000] [ 1388.489458] glib-pacrunner[3000] general protection ip:7f3957ff362c sp:7f3957f0f520 error:0 in libmozjs.so[7f3957f3c000+376000] [ 1393.766547] glib-pacrunner[3029] general protection ip:7fe06863e62c sp:7fe06855a520 error:0 in libmozjs.so[7fe068587000+376000] [ 2025.701905] glib-pacrunner[3223] general protection ip:7fb2f722c62c sp:7fb2f7148520 error:0 in libmozjs.so[7fb2f7175000+376000] [ 2052.441056] glib-pacrunner[3258] general protection ip:7f1ee015262c sp:7f1ee006e520 error:0 in libmozjs.so[7f1ee009b000+376000] [ 2062.360643] glib-pacrunner[3287] general protection ip:7f314697262c sp:7f314688e520 error:0 in libmozjs.so[7f31468bb000+376000] [ 2132.230045] glib-pacrunner[3316] general protection ip:7fdcd713162c sp:7fdcd704d520 error:0 in libmozjs.so[7fdcd707a000+376000] NB: System crashed in the middle of applying some F16 updates, so it could be whacky, but the footprint is identical to this report. Matthias, you know where to find me if you want to experiment. Its getting annoying rating: 4 Package: glib-networking-2.30.1-2.fc16 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) This crash happens regularly throughout the day, and does not appear to be related to my use of the machine. rating: 4 Package: glib-networking-2.30.1-2.fc16 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) I had the same problem, it was solved by downgrading to xulrunner-7.0.1-1, also xulrunner-9.0.1-2 from rawhide seems to be working fine. This appears to happen on first boot after I login. Glancing at the backtrace suggests that it more likely occurs when I first start firefox after boot. backtrace_rating: 4 Package: glib-networking-2.30.1-2.fc16 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Created attachment 559799 [details]

This seems to happen reasonably regularly when adding/editing VPN connections (All vpnc) after saving the connection. The result is that the new name of the VPN does not appear in the NetworkManager drop down list. The original "VPN connection 1" type name stays until reboot. backtrace_rating: 4 Package: glib-networking-2.30.1-2.fc16 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Created attachment 565466 [details]

I echo comment 13 experience. I get this abort every time I resume from a suspend. I have VPN connections defined, but I am not always using them at the time of the suspend/resume. However this abort occurs every time. Wasn't doing anything specific when the error occurred; applications in use: Terminal, Firefox, Terminal, Terminal, gedit, Terminal. This is Fedora 16 64-bit running in a VirtualBox on Win7. backtrace_rating: 4 Package: glib-networking-2.30.1-2.fc16 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Created attachment 570358 [details]

*** Bug 770246 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Hi, I can reproduce this bug now 100% of the time. I just make sure that the wireless adapter is disabled and there is no cable in the wired network when I log in. If I then enable the wireless network (that I have already defined), then this bug kicks in. If I then disable/re-enable the wireless, it all works fine. So, sequence to reproduce: Disable wireless. Log out Log in Enable wireless Its happened 5 times in a row, so I'm pretty sure that this is a good trigger. I have just updated the kernel too. This crash seems to happen every time a wireless connection gets established. There are no apparent ill effects, except for ABRT whining every time. backtrace_rating: 4 Package: glib-networking-2.30.1-2.fc16 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Created attachment 577200 [details]

backtrace from gdb
I get this error pretty much every time I login, shortly after login. I don't know the exact trigger. I'm running F16 in a VirtualBox guest in bridged mode. The host is separated from the Internet by a firewall, which needs a proxy to get through. 1. log-in 2. NetworkManager applet icon does not show on upper right corner 3. execute "sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager.service" 4. NetworkManager applet icon now shows but generate this error backtrace_rating: 4 Package: glib-networking-2.30.1-2.fc16 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) After my recent update of the following packages this problem stopped. It did work for 3 days, but it fall back to error and now I have to restart service everytime after logon This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 16. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '16'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 16's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 16 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on "Clone This Bug" and open it against that version of Fedora. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping Fedora 16 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2013-02-12. Fedora 16 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed. |
