This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.
we've got supermicro motherboard with intel e100e and asus p4b55d motherboard with:
Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller (rev 03)
both require the pcie_aspm=off kernel param since otherwise randomly drop the ethernet connection. what's more ifconfig, ethtool and and everything shows as eth0 is up and has ip address while it's not able to communicate. the worst thing in this case only the "unplug the power and plug it again" can help (ie. a 'simple' poweroff or reboot can't help).

So are you confirming that you've removed the "pcie_aspm=off" from the kernel command line, and that the kernel provided here:

works for you without the need for "pcie_aspm=off"?

unfortunately it's not happened always, so it's very hard to confirm.
this happened with one of our supermicro motherboards. it's 4 servers in production so we're unable to test on it. the other is the asus p4b55d board with integrated RTL8111. i test it on this one and seems to working ie. after the upgrade and a few days it's no longer happened...

Since RHEL 6.3 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains
unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as
exception or blocker.
Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the
next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Are you comfortable saying this is resolved, or is there further action needed on this problem? The fix for the existing issue I mentioned previously (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=770675#c2) should in a kernels 2.6.32-279.el6 and above.
