I (tried to) configure samba on F16; I used a combination of - manual editing of /etc/samba/smb.conf - the graphical samba configuration tool - the systemctl commands: systemctl enable smb.service; systemctl start smb.service Still couldn't access network. Restarted. This error occurred. Package: system-config-samba-1.2.96-1.fc16 Architecture: i686 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Had a folder config screen open tried to click ok it asked for auth decedied to cancel then it crashed Package: system-config-samba-1.2.97-1.fc17 OS Release: Fedora release 17 (Beefy Miracle) Happens on logon Package: system-config-samba-1.2.97-1.fc17 Architecture: i686 OS Release: Fedora release 17 (Beefy Miracle) This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 16. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained.
