You can allow it using # grep vmnet-natd /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol # semodule -i mypol.pp I would also suggest to try to use kvm/qemu in Fedora. Miroslav we should just make those domains unconfined and forget about it. |
SELinux is preventing /usr/bin/vmnet-natd from using the 'net_admin' capabilities. ***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests *************************** If you believe that vmnet-natd should have the net_admin capability by default. Then you should report this as a bug. You can generate a local policy module to allow this access. Do allow this access for now by executing: # grep vmnet-natd /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol # semodule -i mypol.pp Additional Information: Source Context system_u:system_r:vmware_host_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 Target Context system_u:system_r:vmware_host_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 Target Objects Unknown [ capability ] Source vmnet-natd Source Path /usr/bin/vmnet-natd Port <Unknown> Host (removed) Source RPM Packages Target RPM Packages Policy RPM selinux-policy-3.9.16-48.fc15 Selinux Enabled True Policy Type targeted Enforcing Mode Enforcing Host Name (removed) Platform Linux (removed) 2.6.41.4-1.fc15.i686.PAE #1 SMP Tue Nov 29 11:47:02 UTC 2011 i686 i686 Alert Count 2 First Seen Tue 03 Jan 2012 09:07:12 AM CET Last Seen Tue 03 Jan 2012 11:26:11 PM CET Local ID c49915a6-1828-4b54-8327-0a1bbea5a3a1 Raw Audit Messages type=AVC msg=audit(1325629571.159:842): avc: denied { net_admin } for pid=1174 comm="vmnet-natd" capability=12 scontext=system_u:system_r:vmware_host_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 tcontext=system_u:system_r:vmware_host_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 tclass=capability type=AVC msg=audit(1325629571.159:842): avc: denied { sys_module } for pid=1174 comm="vmnet-natd" capability=16 scontext=system_u:system_r:vmware_host_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 tcontext=system_u:system_r:vmware_host_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 tclass=capability type=SYSCALL msg=audit(1325629571.159:842): arch=i386 syscall=ioctl success=no exit=ENODEV a0=6 a1=8927 a2=bff55f68 a3=8927 items=0 ppid=1 pid=1174 auid=4294967295 uid=0 gid=0 euid=0 suid=0 fsuid=0 egid=0 sgid=0 fsgid=0 tty=(none) ses=4294967295 comm=vmnet-natd exe=/usr/bin/vmnet-natd subj=system_u:system_r:vmware_host_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 key=(null) Hash: vmnet-natd,vmware_host_t,vmware_host_t,capability,net_admin audit2allow #============= vmware_host_t ============== allow vmware_host_t self:capability { net_admin sys_module }; audit2allow -R #============= vmware_host_t ============== allow vmware_host_t self:capability { net_admin sys_module };
